When I talk to people about nutrition, they are often coming from a place where they have tried many fad diets and view foods as ‘good’ or ‘bad’. They feel 'out of control’, stuck in a binge and restrict cycle and/or struggle with digestive discomfort. Many times, people are afraid to even go to the doctor because they are ashamed of what they may say or how their lab values may come back.
Nutrition doesn’t have to be complicated.
Society, more specifically- diet culture, convinces us to fear certain foods and glorify others. This polarizing position towards food then flip flops every few years. It can be extremely overwhelming and leave you confused on how to nourish your body sufficiently and do so intuitively. Working with a dietitian can lift the veil of ‘nutrition clutter’ and provide clarity.
